A forbidden topic in our household. I was complaining to my Dad (A proud Wrangler-er) that nobody would return my Jeep wave except for Liberties. He then described to me why nobody would wave at me, using terms like "Sacrilege" and "Immoral." Does anybody ELSE do this, or am I really the only one?

My dad also has a wrangler and so does my sisters b/f so they like to gang up on me. They say my jeep isnt a real jeep and its a grandmas car but its been further in the woods so it is an ongoing battle.

Maybe people will warm up when I get tires/roofrack installed. I know most of the Cherokees I pass are grocery getters, poor things. Still, If I'm in a Cherokee and I wave at a Wrangler, I wouldn't still expect them to just pass me.

I wave to just about every jeep! most of the times the wrangler guys are quick to wave back, especialy the ones in lifted JK's . . i rarely get waves back from other xj owners especially lifted ones! so if you ever see a jeep that looks like mine and your in jersey throw me a wave and ill throw you a dollar!

Don't hate us stockers.. some of us are saving and getting there!! 2.5" lift should be here in the next day or two. I think I'm pretty much marked and it's understood that I know the jeep thing, have CherokeeForum.com stickers plastered on my rear windows, and "Kryptic Offroad" in a banner on the front windshield, so I get a few waves.. not just bypassed as a stocker all the time!

I personally think the "Jeep wave" is pretty gay. People do it to me and I ignore it. In fact, it seems to happen more and more. I'm driving. My eyes are focused on the road. I don't give a **** if you drive a Jeep. Get over it. I love Jeep but I sure as hell am not going to wave my hand like a fairy. If I feel like being social, I'll go to a bar.
