I wave to EVERY Jeep I see, (yes even the compasses, and patriots, and liberties) and I barely get waves back... Only from XJ drivers for the most part. Go figure! LOL

 

the only time i get waved back from another XJ is if they are modified. seems like around here most are stock and just used for SUV duties and not JEEP duties. but ill wave back everytime.

 

I wave if their Jeep is kinda cool or if they wave to me first.

Occasionally I get wave's and rock-ons from people who dont even drive Jeeps too.

 

I didn't know that jeep owners wave! I have a corvette and always wave to other corvettes, and when I'm on my motorcycle I wave to other bikes. (although lots of times the cruisers don't wave back to me. They don't like sport bikes. )

I haven't had anyone in a jeep wave to me yet!

 

back when I still had my CJ5 everybody waved,nobody waves back these days,I think they are all stuck up now adays

 

2.4 million of these xjs. pretty sure some idiots and a-holes own a few. keep waving the good ones will wave back

 

I try to wave. Only got a wave back once. A month or two ago I had someone in an XJ wave at me. Quickly waved back, but they might have missed it. Driver side mirror might have been in the way. Part of me wondered if that person was a member of this board.

 

I only really get waves from people in lifted wronglers.. I gave up on waving to cherokees, unless theyre pretty high on the "coolness scale"

 

i don't discriminate. i wave to everyone. even the ones that give me the middle finger. jes pisses them off more. haha

 

hahaha. Yeah I used to own a 93 Wrongler YJ and everyone waved to me. Now no one waves. Although one time a guy in a huge lifted XJ honked at me and we drove side by side for about 10 minutes. that was pretty cool!

 

I drive both an XJ and a YJ.

I wave to all Wranglers and Cherokees/ GC's too that I pass.

I get plenty of wave-backs from wranglers & a few from modified Cherokees.

My XJ is bone stock, so when I'm driving that & waving I rarely get wave-backs.

My YJ isn't lifted, but looks far from stock.

I do think it's great that we are discussing this here on a Cherokee forum.

I know it's heavily discussed on most wrangler/CJ forums. If all jeep owners who know about it just keep doing it, it will never die!

 

I wave if they have mods but will always wave back if someone waves to me. Anything other than an xj, i just nod if at a redlight and see they are looking back

 

I wave at all XJs and any lifted vehicle that looks like a wheeler. I probably get more waves back from stock XJs than I do from built Wranglers. Actually come to think of it the last wave I got from a Wrangler was a thank you wave after I pulled him out of a trail he was stuck on.

 

always wave and wave back at Jeeps. No discrimination here. Even stock ones. They do pretty well off road too.

I got flipped off by this FJ cruiser that had black rims and a roof rack

i almost followed him and asked to go wheeling with him
