Default Jeep Security

Is there anything like this that will fit a 2000 XJ? http://www.cyberjeep.com/xj/pr/security-console

Also if you have any pics of any consoles you currently have that add security post them up. My main reason for this is to have a good place for a hand gun when I leave it locked in the Jeep.

Why are you leaving a hand gun in your jeep?

Tuffy makes a secure box that fits under the front seat meant to secure a handgun.

I can't take it every where like banks, post offices, and a few other places that I may need to go to.

Does it have a way to secure it to the vehicle so someone cant just take the whole box? That is what I am trying to stay away from which is why I like the lockable console.

As far as I knew, as long as you have a permit to carry. You could, except Courthouse, Prisons, Jails, and Mental health inst. (In Wisconsin) Anyways putting in a visible lock box in a vehicle, is asking to have it stolen. I would go with the under the seat model, my self. I'm not a anti-gun person, or wasn't trying to ridicule you. And if you don't have permit to carry, then don't. JMO!

I live in Florida and just recently got my CC Permit so alot of the info is still fresh on my mind especiallly where you can and cannot carry and there are quite a few places that you are not allowed to carry here.

Definitely don't want it in a visible lock box and something under the seat than can be bolted to the floor would be nice if I can't find a console because it will only be used when I have to leave it in the car. Once I get back in the car it will come out of the box cause it won't do me any good if it is locked under my seat!

I am pretty sure they are because they are considered federal property.

there is a few lock boxes out there for handguns, just hit the search and you'll find one that fits your needs.

As for the laws, allowed and not allowed. Each State is different! Just take a look: http://www.handgunlaw.us/

I sometimes leave my FNP45 in my XJ, but most of the time it's on my hip
