Thats how I have been running mine forever lol. Except mines a rear main seal leak.. but a valve cover is pretty straight forward, but just know what torque to tighten the bolts and that AutoZone sells a new head gasket and new bolts

Valve cover can be done in an hour. Unbolt it, scrape off the old seal, put a new rubber fel-pro one on there. I don't even torc mine down but you should
