Hey All,

I know there are Cherokee Magazines out there, but how many of my Jeep Cherokee Forum friends would follow mine? Just asking...Thought about this for over two years now. :-)

Seems like a lot of the car magazines have died out slowly, they are getting thinner and thinner since the popularity of the internet car forums has increased significantly.

Print in general is dead because it can't keep up with the internet. I've had a few off road mags for years and they're sending them more and more frequently just to try and stay relevant.

Magazines were keeping up for a while because they were still relevant for doctors offices, dealerships, ect. Anywhere you had to sit around and wait, but as smart phones and tablets are becoming more common print is losing a lot of ground.

With the economy the way it is and the way technology is advancing it would be pretty pointless to start a print magazine, especially for such a niche market.

sounds cool. sounds expensive tho if your trying to put out paper mags. What about a monthly forum mag. or something like that. taking the C.O.T.M and detailed write ups, wheeling spots with pics. calssifides ect ect. I mean all that info is on here... but put it all together..... something to think about.

All of that is very true. I guess I would not have though that. It was just more of a thought on what could happen than anything else. Thanks everyone for your input. Was greatly appreciated. In other drama, I have a leaky Valve Cover...Is this something I should be worried about? Im thinking it is just the gasket that needs replacing...

You can do the valve cover gasket in under an hour. There's not much too it, just disconnect the vacuum lines off and disconnect the throttle cables and it's just a matter of unbolting it.

You can drive it like that for years to come, just top off your oil once and a while. On the plus side you'll always have fresh oil.
