Which Jeep has the best gas mileage?

The Jeeps infamous 4.0 I6 HO "The Poor Man's Cummins" worth every penny of gas.
MY 89 Cherokee with 250k gets 17 city/20 hwy mpg and have no complaints. I like the 91-96 Jeeps with the 190HP engines
Wolfgang Bernhard should be hung by his ******* for ending production of the Cherokee and the coveted 4.0.

I have no idea what jeep gets the best gas mileage from 2000-2005. This site is many XJ Cherokees from 1984-2001. Mine is a 1990 4.0 automatic and I got 23 MPG on one trip at 60 MPH. Got 20 MPG at 65 MPH. the trick is good maintenance and cruise control.
