True story: a guy put his fist through a window breaking into the house. In the process, he cut an artery and bled out. Homeowner found him dead half in the house and called the cops. Cops called it an accident, homeowner was sued for $1 mil by the burglers parents and they got $150,000 awarded by the jury. Only in America!

Sad how our country works isn't it ? Intruders in my house will be met by a Remington 870 with a handful of slugs. Possibly a AR15 .223/.556 with in the next few weeks

Interesting you say that. About two years ago someone broke into my 95 out front of my house. I had a gold chain with a cross hanging around the mirror(stupid),change in the cup holder, head unit, ipod in center console... Nothing was taken. Things were shuffled around but other than that not a single thing gone. I still wonder about it to this day. The dome lights were still on because the door was cracked and the jeep wasn't dead so it couldn't have been long so I always think maybe he heard me come out of the house and took off? But I came out in the morning to go to work. So it wasn't dark out. Who breaks into a car on a weekday in the morning? You'd have to be an idiot to not see why that's a horrible time to break into a vehicle. Lol

The strangest thing about the whole thing was I always lock my jeep. Always. Well the night before I forgot to lock my jeep and I realized it when I got inside but I didn't feel like going all the way back out to lock it. Learned my lesson.

I heard something similar to that, family went on vacation, someone broke in and when into the garage, well unfortunate for the burglar it was a auto lock door and was stuck in the garage for a week. Family came home found him in there called the cops and he sued them for imprisonment and human cruelty. And won the case too I don't remember now much.

Insane but believable. Lawyers have ruined the country.

Also if going that route be sure to post warnings just in cast to save your ***.
I would go with the air horns I like that idea a lot or even a high pitch whistle.
That was almost 20 years ago (damn I'm getting "aged"). LOL. I wouldn't want to shock grandma cuz knowing my luck I would get the Chuck Norris granny. Lol come here sonny and I'll give you a beating you won't soon forget.

Best theft deterrent is a well worn empty holster laying in plain sight on the dash.
