Default Jeep defence agaisnt a thief

Ok well I had my jeep broken into last night and bunch of my tools for work and some recovery gear was stolen the popped the passenger door tumbler do that they could unlock the door then **** the ignition to all hell so I can't start the jeep ( had a kill switch on the fuel pump.)

Now besides the obvious... alarm , kill switch , club
What else could I do to beef up the jeep
Has any body tried reinforcing stuff to make it harder to get in the jeep ?!

Any help or ideas would be great !

Thanks

Hmm...........never gave it much thought. Our vehicles never get broken into because everyone in the area knows we are all armed and 2 of us (myself included) used to work for the local Sheriff's Dept.

Shave the door lock tumblers and door handles off and use door poppers. If a thief wants to get in your vehicle they are going to get in it regardless what you do. Coming up to a jeep with no locks or handles might confuse the hell out of someone and move on to the next victim.

That's a good option ( Always thought of it as a low rider thing ) just how would they work off road ? Is the Handle inside the jeep left the same ?

Honestly I'm just tired of getting jacked. This is my third Xj this has happened to in two different areas

Shaving the locks and handles won't stop some jack off with a brick from bashing in a window. The best thing i have found to do is to keep anything interesting to thieves out of sight.

Take your doors off or leave your windows all the way down. If a thief thinks its too good to be true, they will think they are being watched and stay away from your jeep!

my 92 was stolen when it was 3wks old, then broken into 3yrs later.

both times break the small window in the door behind the drivers door.

leave nothing in sight to deter the curious.

youd be liable for injury to a thief that you caused by booby trapping your vehicle, ie, the old razor blades behind the HU

Ha... God bless America. "His radio was booby trapped it cut me when I was trying to steal it after breaking into his jeep"

You think they guy stealing the radio is going to stick around to file a police report? I don't.

OP, you said this is the 3rd time, 2 different areas and different Jeeps. Dude, I'm 99% sure its someone you know. Start interogating your friends...

As for not getting robbed again. Don't leave tools and stuff people want to steal in your Jeep. That's pretty much all you can do. Everything else is just a deterent and won't necessarily stop it from happening.
