can i use jb weld to prevent further rusting of my floors? i have pieces cut to put into the truck, but i wanted to weld them to whats there, and i was worried that doing so might not help. i know i need to get rid of what i can, but what about whats left?

The only way to "prevent further rusting" is to remove all damaged metal, the oxidation will continue like cancer.

If you can't weld it in then you could rivet patch panels over the rust holes. As mentioned cut away all rust and paid the bare metal. I would also put some liquid gasket/RTV around the patch panel if you are going to rivet it in.

where are you in CT? ive already replaced my drivers floor using selftappers/pop rivets, but since then ive aquired a welder. be more than happy to lend a hand if your in my neck of the woods.
