Zj disc brakes vs. 8.8 discs brakes?
Which would be better? Swap to zj discs or getting a 8.8 with discs? Which one has bigger rotors and/or calipers? Thanks

Brake rotor and caliper size are pretty close to being the same between the two, it really boils down to the cost in order to make a decision of what you want to do.

Really depends on what you use your jeep for and what axle you plan on putting the ZJ brakes on. Wouldn't waste my time putting disc on a D35 unless you don't plan on running anything bigger than 31s.

So the braking power between the 2 would be the same? One of them isnt even a little better? The zj brakes would be going on the 8.25 if I did that

Front brakes take the brunt of a hard stop, that is why they are bigger.
So a small difference between the 8.8 and ZJ rears won't be noticeable.
What you will get with the 8.8 is a stronger axle capable of handling larger tires and more abuse.
So, if you want that along with discs go with the 8.8, otherwise get ZJ or Liberty brakes.
I wanted the bigger axle so I'm currently in process of prepping an 8.8.

As stated before, the front brakes do about 70% of the braking. You go too big on the rear and they will lock up on you all the time. Going bigger on the front will do a lot more for you. Search WJ front brake swap.

I planed to do the wj brakes for the front but I want discs all around. Would the 8.8 or zj brakes be to big or would they work good with the wj fronts?
