Default Iso Help to see what rear end i have.

ok i need to find out what rear end i have i think its a 8.25. i counted the spine it has 29 but i want to make sure. I took the carrier out and i am going to order 4.56 but i need to make sure i get the right ring and pinion. So just want to ask you guys to be sure.

The 8.25 has a flat bottom, and is the only common XJ axle with 29 spline shafts. You have an 8.25

what you mean a flat bottom? You think if i order a 4.56 for a 27 spline will hurt? even know its a 29.

If you look at the bottom of the diff case, it is flat on the bottom, where a D35 is rounded.
And I do not know if the gears for a 27 spline would be different.
