Ok so I have a 2001 cherokee sport, it is completely stock but I plan on lifting it 3 inches in the next couple of months. Today when I was driving on the freeway I got the DW. My tires are balance. What else could this be? I want to upgrade it when I do the lift.

Too many things. Lifting it actually might fix this because youll be replacing parts that are potentially bad. Start at the trackbar I guess. Get aligned.

It can be a long list of things from a track bar to a wheel bearing.

If your not sure of what's causing it take it somewhere and pay to find out exactly what it is. My guess is that nothing in most entry level 3" lift kits will take care of it.

It must be repaired and any other weak, worn, bad front end parts replaced "BEFORE" any lift is started. If you do any problems will only be made worse with the lift.

Was it DW or bump steer? There is a big difference.

Everything I know about Death Wobble goes to the track bar, specifically you need to beef up/replace the track bar bracket on the upper end. Check out Kevin's Off Road and their track bar conversion

I don't have this exact set up, but I have a similarly burly/overbuilt track bar mount with some high durometer bushings and a custom overbuilt tie rod and have no DW with 35's. I get bumpsteer, but not DW.

The first thing to check is the track bar bolt on the axle. They always loosen up and will bugger the hole up.

There's no miracle answer, you really have to check and replace stuff unfortunately.
