Default Im dumb. Help.

I want to add 1.5" to my 4.5" lift kit.
I've read I can add late 90's GM shackles for the rear and add Camaro coil isolators in the front.
But I have very basic automotive knowledge so is the isolator under the spring? And what year Camaro?

If i were you i would buy a kit designed for the XJ, like this one:

While you might be able to do what your talking about in the original post, i would suggest buying products intended for your XJ. You can buy spacers pretty much anywhere for the XJ and they sit in between the coil isolator at the top and the coil spring. Name: U92zp.jpg

For the rear a lot of people have used the shackle that Autozone sells. I dont remember how much lift it gives but its close to what you want (1 or 1 1/2 inch) There is a write up in that section i think but i cant remember...

Also think about weather or not you will need new shocks, brakelines, adjustable TB, SYE, and DS for going up higher

you could just try 1.5" pucks in the front for the coils
(i had 2" on my tj for a while)
and use an add a leaf kit for the rear?

would that work?
