I'm done..
I'm done having loud exhaust, stock shocks on two inch lift and 33s, and hacked up quarter panels. So I'm going to fix that! Thought it was cool earlier, until I got 32s and a new starter, made me want to complete what I started. So I will be making a new exhaust to quiet her down a bit and maybe get some new front qp's and trim those nicely, just had a sort of epiphany and felt bad for the way I treat my jeep so now it's time to give her the love she deserves hopefully getting shocks soon, I need some new ones badly, will let you all know how it goes.

I've had an FM 40 on my XJ for the last few year. Nothing after the muffler.
Last month I swapped it out for a oem style muffler. It's still sort loud and rumbly since there's still no tail pipe.
That was the best thing I've ever done. It's SOOO much nicer now.

Flowmasters are pretty much noise makers... I would invest in a real high flow cat like Magnaflow and a similar type of straight through muffler. The factory puts the exhaust systems in place to make it quiet, leaving some hp/torque and mpg on the table.
