I tried that once but putting that much pressure with the but made it hurt even more. So I grabbed a thin stainless steel tig welding rod, ground the end to a fine point then heated it with a mapp gas touch. The sharp end went in the nail easier than I thought. Since there was a blood pocket under my entire nail I poked three holes. Instantly felt better.

You can heat up a paper clip and poke it in there too. Quicker than the drill bit lol.

I have been wrenching for a living for more than 25 years and have never smashed my fingers bad enough to where I have to drill holes in my nails to release pressure. With that being said I will probably smash the hell out of a finger first thing in the morning.

You're doomed now. I never had to until yesterday and I've been wrenching on stuff for over 35 years....

Tick, tick, tick.......................
