I have seen the factory spring plates 'extended' to receive the bumpstop, seems to work best on higher lifts..
I used Daystar progressive 4.5" tall bumps, mounted on a longer base that spreads the load ($50).
On axle, a leaf-spring perch ($14 Jegs) is the contact point and can be adjusted in height to match shock travel, with hocky pucks or UHMW I prefer.
I set up the bumps to fully bottom out at 16" shock mount-to-mount.
Last picture is from a go-fast setup.
If someone can fab up steel to drop the top bumpstop that much all work. I had to do both top and bottom cause i coulndt make anything

LOL, thanks for reminding me I should've won $2500 I do already have a winch, but definitely need most of those other things...including the hoodie!

So far I'm about to hit the trigger on ZJ tie rod conversion parts, the parking brake cable I need to finish my rear disc conversion once and for all, a ratcheting 1/4" wrench to get those pesky torx out of my door hinges, and a Monroe steering stabilizer to replace my rusty crapola Gabriel. Looks like I'll still have enough left over for a track bar even! Thanks for the help everyone, and SteveMongr, great post! Thanks for that info!
You can buy those plates now and use those as normal spring plates even if you don't put bumpstop on them they work. Just drop the top ones as much as you can. Last thing you want is booming your expensive shocks out

No doubt...I definitely won't be wheeling at all until I know everything is set up properly including the bumps

Serious, if you're still watching, do you sell full sets of shocks for a 5.5" lift? I plan on flexing and measuring properly of course, just trying to get a ballpark figure. Id like to order all 4 in one shot if possible
