Get the quadratec one and drop 2" with piece of steel. That's a good way to start. You'll also need to do the lowers also. One good way is to get a new u bolt clamp that sticks out an extra few inches and put another Bumpstops on that. Ill see if i can find link later

Heres my setup.

http://www.dirtboundoffroad.com/rear...FY6Y4AodbRcAyg

is the mounting plate I usedand then I put

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ar...1083/overview/

onto it and that's how I did the lower bumpstop.

The upper bumpstop is

http://www.quadratec.com/products/52422_01.htm

and what you can do is lower this down with longer bolts and a piece of strong steel like 2X2 behind it.

It's easy to make new leaf spring plates. Get a sheet of 1/4 inch plate and drill holes in it to match and drill a hole away and bolt on pucks on it. That's what I plan on doing.

Maybe while I do that, I could make two more for you if ur interested

The ends of the leaf plate are also curved to prevent 'point loading' or something.

This. The end are curved so as not to hit the shocks. Use 3/8" if planning one doing blacks and dropping off rocks. 1/4" may work but the extra beef is better

Those dirtbound plates look nice, but 50 BUCKS? I hope that's at least for a set, and even then--a bit much. That seems to be the trend with DBO--everything costs 50% more than what it should..

I would definitely opt for this before paying 50 bucks. (or possibly 100?!). It looks like a great setup. Mine wouldn't be cut very well since all I have is an angle grinder though, lol...if you make them I'm definitely interested, I'm sure you'd do a better job than I.

Another thing I could add to my list is nutstrips...but I reckon I could make my own of those as well

Another question...should I maybe get new U-bolt spring plates? I was thinking I could reuse the factory ones, but I'm not so sure.

Noticed you are going to fab rear bumps.
I have seen the factory spring plates 'extended' to receive the bumpstop, seems to work best on higher lifts..
I used Daystar progressive 4.5" tall bumps, mounted on a longer base that spreads the load ($50).
On axle, a leaf-spring perch ($14 Jegs) is the contact point and can be adjusted in height to match shock travel, with hocky pucks or UHMW I prefer.
I set up the bumps to fully bottom out at 16" shock mount-to-mount.
Last picture is from a go-fast setup.

Right, I was looking on IRO at HD plates and was just wondering if I could get by with the stockers until I decide on the bumpstop situation.

LOL, thanks for reminding me I should've won $2500 I do already have a winch, but definitely need most of those other things...including the hoodie!

So far I'm about to hit the trigger on ZJ tie rod conversion parts, the parking brake cable I need to finish my rear disc conversion once and for all, a ratcheting 1/4" wrench to get those pesky torx out of my door hinges, and a Monroe steering stabilizer to replace my rusty crapola Gabriel. Looks like I'll still have enough left over for a track bar even! Thanks for the help everyone, and SteveMongr, great post! Thanks for that info!
