I pulled the front tires over a parking block and went to reverse back over and I heard a loud noise that sounded like a metal fan blade hitting something from the front end. Help??

 

It's mall crawlin, things like this happen.....

Have you looked at your Fan to see if it has been hitting anything?

 

There is no shroud for it to hit. And the noise started when my small tires were having trouble to get over the block.

 

Maybe the block moved.

 

It's a curb/parking block.

 

If this worries you......cut it out!

Have you've heard the sound since?

 

No only when I went back over the block in reverse.

 

Check if the fan is hitting the unibody. You maybe due for engine mounts

 

or the radiator

 

What if you just brake torque it in reverse? Are there any witness marks on the fan or the radiator. Try poping the hood and have someone else brake torque it while you ***stand off to the side***, see how much the motor moves. Inspect the motor mounts and the trans mount, they may be letting the drivetrain flex enough letting it hit something. most likley the radiator or upper radiator support.

 

look at the radiator and see if it was kissed by the fan.
