Weather it be Castrol GTX, a high mile variant, or valvoline, what kind of oil do you fill in your XJ?

 

Schaeffer 10W-30 7000 Premium Synthetic Blend and a Bosch Distance Plus filter.

 

Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel 5w40 Synthetic, Motorcraft FL1A oversized filter

 

Castrol 20w-50.

 

Valvoilne Synpower 10W30 with a Wix Filter

 

after rebuild started with 5w-30...now Pensoil 10w-30

but before my engine rebuild i used 15w-40...forget the brand but it was for diesels

 

Auto zone 20w50

 

I've got Rotella T5, 10W-30 in there at the moment.

 

Farm and Barn 10w30

 

Rotella T 10w30 with a Napa Gold filter, but switching to an Amsoil 5w30 full synthetic and Amsoil 25k filter next service, because my local Amsoil rep promised to replace my motor if anything goes wrong due to the swap!

 

the cheapest 10w-40

 

Mobil 1 synthetic along with a Mobil 1 filter. So far so good!

 

Tomorrow its getting fresh 10w-30 castrol gtx high mileage with mopar filter

 

Just penzoil10w-30 and a napa gold filter. None of the high mileage crap, its just more additives in the oil. Gonna get rotella if walmart has it for my next change

 

I don't know what oil was in there from the PO but I know what I am going to to put in there.

I got some Oreilly brand (mobile 1) 0w-20 full synthetic. Paired with a K&N oil filter.
