Check the trucks tow cap , If the weight of the 2 and trailer exceed it than it isn't recommended. That doesnt mean it can't, it just shouldn't

It might but it's doubtful. Stopping would be the bigger issue. My old Z71 had a hard time pulling my bumper pull trailer with my XJ on it.

We used to tow with a '94 silverado 1500, towed more weight than probably should have. The biggest issue is the brakes I would STRONGLY recommend trailer brakes, not fun when your trailer pushes you past where you meant to stop. Make sure your tow rig is properly equipped and check the tow rating to make sure it can handle it, a hitch that can handle the weight is important and any problems with the tow vehicle will be amplified.

I pulled my XJ with my 2011 Chevy siverado 1/2 ton from Missouri to New Mexico with no problems. I think the trailer and jeep were about a total of or 4 tons. Like other have mentioned the big thing is make sure the trailer you are using has brakes.
