i like this idea. 2 doors rock! and a brand new engine would be sick! i would do a mild 4.5 stroker or a while 4.7!!

Just my advice, transfer over the 88 motor to the 96, while porting/polishing/stroking the 96 engine and transfer the 88 suspension over to the 96 as well keeping the 96 axles

Take the best parts of all three and make one great truck and two okay trucks. Sell the others to make the great truck an amazing truck. Problem solved.

you guys are talking swapping a renix into an ho car... do you realize exactly how different the wiring harness is? Don't think I'd swap a renix just to turn around and convert it back to HO

The 88 won't shift out of first? Replace the TPS and it is new. Have fun.

No you can't clean it's a sealed element. Ive tried it once and it didn't work (i opened one and found out that the brush was worn out) . Buy it new or pick a couple at the JY, it will fix the prob.
The gears shift in and out beacause you have big tires and prolly stock gearing. Nothing that a converter lock-up switch can't fix.

Didn't think about the '88 being a RENIX. Good call on that one Donnie_K. My suggestion was only due to a swap is easier than a total rebuild after a massive overheat. Since you've got connections with a shop, do the rebuild, and put all the lift components on the '96.

My advice; move out of your parent's house.

Buy your first house using the first time buyers grant. Make sure your new house has a lot of land to park, wrench, & wheel your jeeps on.
