I'm surprised no one else said this. You are 16 and you drive 20 miles to school. Why don't you just take the bus?

We were all 16 once and I do not know any 16 year old who wants to ride the bus. Notice, he is ready to give up his very nice XJ, most likely one of the coolest rides at his school, to avoid riding the bus. Gas prices are insane right now so I can understand how one would feel this way. I hope you can work out something. Maybe trade your lift down with someone on Craigslist or just trade your rig down to a stock or close to stock.

More people are riding the bus nowadays. It may seem demeaning to some but guess what? It's a great way to meet people and it can be like a candy store to a 16 year old guy (if you know what I mean). The Jeep will serve well for the subsequent weekend dates that spin from it.

Man, hope you keep the XJ. I am jealous, 20 miles round trip? I am at like 80 lol. My xj is no longer my DD, but I have a lifted ranger that gets the same mpg.

ohhhhhh, that made me crindge! dont over inflate your tires!! if you think gas prices are bad, think about having to buy 4 new 33's on top of that. Its not safe to over inflate your tires. it will change your handling, braking, hydroplaning, etc. Follow OEM specifications, reference the inside of your driver door pannel.

did you buy your XJ stock and do all that work?
