Don't soak the bottom just a light coat works well...it doesn't have to be dripping like the valdez.

As for how much kerosene....not really an exact science. Just enough until you think its thin enough to spray with the sprayer.

Alright well Thanks for all the help. Ill throw the tarp underneath the jeep and use it when im undercoating it instead of covering the jeep with it.

Wash it and then wax it, do not wipe off the excess just leave it on until spring. Jack it up and put it on jack stands, remove the tires and put them inside. Do the rice to keep moisture out of the interior.
To keep the mice and critters out of the wiring get some moth ***** and put them in a pie plate and set it in the engine bay and the front and rear floor boards.
Do the stabil and run some trans fluid in the intake to oil the cylinders. Remove the battery and store it inside or put it on a battery tender.
If you do these things you should be fine to store your Cherokee for up to a year,
wow! thats all good stuff. I can tell your from the pacific northwest!

How much rice do you think ill need? How much transfluid should i put int the intake (through the vacumme line?) And I think ill do all of this along with the home made undercoat and hopefully there will still be a floor left next year
Go ahead and wax it again and leave it on. Get some kind of spray bottle for the trans fluid and spray into the intake, not the vacum line until you see the smoke coming out the exhaust that will be enough. Rice is cheap, buy a lot, mold is a ***** to get rid of. Make sure you top off the gas tank before you park it for the winter. ( less air in the tank means less moisture build up )

Personally I wouldn't do rice for soaking up moisture, it attracts mice and other rodents. Go to any camper/motorhome/rv store and buy moisture collectors, I use them in vehicles that sit for awhile and they work 100% better than rice

My dad uses this stuff on rusty parts.
You could do it and then primer the bare metal to protect it.
