Question How would I...

I want to turn my 94 automatic cherokee into a drifting beast;
I know I need to change the transmission, axles and tires but what else do I do and how do I go about doing it?
Any suggestions are good suggestions!!

Why do you need to change your transmission and axles? I'd imagine you'd want to lower it then so you have a lower center of gravity, but I'd imagine drifting an suv to be a pretty rediculous and perilous journey.

well lowering it is a given but if im going to drift it, it should be with a manual transmission. the the axles, tires and shocks need to be replaced so that I have stronger, slightly longer and a more durable drift.

If any suggestions are good suggestion...

If you want to drift don't do it in a damn high centered box SUV. If you want to drift buy a ****ing Honda.

Not a good choice since 99% of them are front wheel drive. Unless an s2000 or NSX

Drifting a cherokee is definitely a rush, I've done it with the 95 I had which was an automatic and unless your extremely skilled I don't recommend it. Not saying that I'm skilled just got lucky.

yeah dirt drifting is really fun. It's also really easy to hit the gas around a corner and break the tires loose and "drift" after it rains
but I wouldnt recommend doing any of this. its a good way to catch your jeep on fire ask me how I know

First thing you do is sell the xj and buy a rice burner.

If you are serious, get a 2wd. convert the front to IFS, lower it, run the stiffest springs imaginable or coilover, stiff sway bars, remove all the weight possible, and swap a LSD 8.8 rear with 4.11s. wide offset with street slicks.
Oh and don't roll it.

ive hydroplaned going around a corner once. scariest thing ever. luckily no one was around and no one hurt, except my jeep broke two transmission lines. there's 0 control in hydroplaning. so don't do that.
