frame plates are a huge pain to fit once you dent your frame

and I'd still recommend an aftermarket track bar brace and double shear track bar if you plan on doing any offroading. your jeep will thank you later
I'm still trying to find a good double-shear for a 3 inch lift...

Yeah the plans for any mods from here are rear axle, discs, some frame plating, a new track bar, and tie rod assembly. Being unemployed right now doesn't help that though. Ha.

Or instead of plating get sliders, i've read that they stiffen up the body too and they'll add protection

maybe a tad bit. but they'll really help out if you do something like the 2x6 rocker mod. rockers welded to the body then tied into the frame (which should be plated first) will really make a difference

None at all. And its just dangerous to have in your jeep. God forbid you had a bad roll over.
