how many miles do you have?

they are great engines and there has to be someone with more the 250 or 300k on their motor. i know i have never had an issue with any of hte 4.0 i have ever owned.
i cannot believe no one has posted something with crazy miles yet, on my bmws, i have over 300k on two cars and a buddy had 800k on his I6. i know there is someone with that many miles on a jeep I6 because the cherokee has almost the span as the e30 bmw and both came with 4 cylinder and I6 engines and are vehicles with huge followings. its funny as i know a couple e30 (3 series from 84 to 92) bmw people who have cherokees also.

1995 with only 152,538 miles. some of my friends have their little Mitsubishis and Toyotas and what not, and they all have had problems with the motors when they get to 80,000 miles or so. they cannot believe that i don't have any problems with my 4.0 at all
just reliable motors you can beat into the ground and they come back for more.

90 xj, 4.0 stock aw4, stock tc 231, and dana 30 and dana 35. 235000 miles Still runs like a champ, no oil leaks and uses no oil. Do have a freeze plug leaking on occasion.
