How do you drive through the woods without knocking a ten foot snorkel off?

Well I decided to go through the water and had the water up to about half an inch below the hood everything was dry in engine bay and went through a lot like that but I already knew what I was going through cause I memorized it while it was dry. I had friend record it so I will post it up soon.

One problem I noticed after though is now I have to turn jeep off and be at a complete stop then shift to first and turn it on but the clutch is already partially engaged with pedal on the floor so it starts to creep a little without any gas. I cannot shift past first any ideas??

You may have gotten water into the trans or clutch assy. Or even gotten water in the clutch fluid or something.

One thing I forgot to mention is breather tubes. Both for your axles and your trans and tcase. You may wanna make sure you didn't go over their limit, that'll bring water in bad spots.

I replaced master cylinder after it locked up in reverse but still bad shiftin but driveable. Was going to get a centerforce clutch cause I believe mine has gone bad anybody have any experience with these clutches my buddy said it would be last better in mud and water then others.

I think it is bad because it engages as soon as I let up on the pedal and it has a "sandy" feel to it when I push it down.

I've had more experience with ACT clutches, but my dad runs a Centerforce on his 68 Camaro. Not exactly an off-road vehicle, but he's got a 454 poked and stroked to a 489 making some serious power and that clutch takes it nicely.

Was thinking about going with Zoom Off Road Cryo Treated Clutch kit, they are pretty pricey though you think it would be worth it I go on trail about everyday and it is southern soupy mud and clay pits.

I recently crossed a river and it was about 3 inches below drivers window. I also dropped into a hole one night that went over my hood about halfway up my windshield. It was nighttime and it looked really freaky with headlights lighting up the water and not knowing how deep or how long hole was. Idk how I made it out. I have a cowl snorkel and siliconed cap, plug wires. I have 31's and I try not to go over my tires if that helps. Also, i learned fast to EASE into water...

I'm not very familiar with those at all. But when it comes to driveline parts, going cheap is something I try never to do. Do some research, maybe start a thread asking if any users here have experience with this one, or which others they suggest.

I've never had to replace a Jeep clutch. Only for my Eclipse and my F150. The Eclipse got an ACT2600 and the Ford got whatever Napa gave me.

as long as your filter is above water your okay.
other people will say it fries your altinator, whoever says that doesnt know what theyre talking about. the local hangout spot for the wheelin people in town is a spillway to relieve water out of a lake up the mountain a ways...
youll ruin the bearings in it but itll still charge it just make a bit of noise
