How can I protect my starter?
Someone went under my 2001 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L and stole my starter. I replaced it but Im trying to figure out a way to prevent it from happening again.

Who steals a starter lol,Sounds like someone is playing a joke on you or crazy ex.You could use the strongest locktite which will make it harder then hell to remove the bolts if you ever have to replace it yourself.

Who the hell steals a starter??
You could try and replace the bolt with a security bolt? Loctite is a good idea but they apparently had enough time to stop and crawl under there so it will only slow them down. Hopefully they don't come back knowing that you have a new starter.
Best answer is get a decent 2-way car alarm with a proximity sensor.

Catalytic converters fetch more than a starter in scrap. If a Jeep starter is anything like a SBC starter, they are dirt cheap! Got a welder? I'd weld a skid plate under the bastard. Next time you have to work on it will involve a grinder, but they won't steal it again without a grinder or torch.
