Hooking up pa to cb.
Hey guys just finished wiring my pa to my cobra 19 dx, but every time I try talking instead of hearing myself it's a loud squealing noise. How come it's doing this?

Ah ha I knew it I was testing it in my car just after I bought it and the wire that comes with the speaker is only a couple inches long. Tonight I'll try with a longer cable. Thanks!

I have my P.A. speaker mounted under the hood on the drivers side at the firewall. I noticed mine will squeal if I have some of the ***** turned up too high (the rf gain or squeal) on my Cobra.

I got my in a box from my uncle's place, but there was a receipt from The Source/RadioShack for it in it's box. I also saw some for sale at the local automotive flea markets.
