Be honest, how much lift do you really need for the type of wheeling you do?

I'm at 4.5 on 34s locked on both ends and it goes anywhere I point it. I like playing in big rocks, there's only a few times I wished I had a little more clearance. I think I'm going with 33 TSL bias ply soon. I debated 34 LTB's again but think I'll try the 33's.
I wheel with a guy in a buggy with 40" pitbulls, and another guy with a YJ on 36's and I can do alright. There was just one trail I couldn't get up and it was nasty. Everyone was telling me I shouldn't even try it. I got more than halfway, but my LCA mount was hitting a rock and I couldn't get around it, but I was pretty happy I got as far as I did.
