Well shoot, I did good then.
I bought a Lincoln Weld Pak 100 (110V flux core) welder off a friend for $50 and the MIG upgrade from Lincoln for 145. So I got a good 110V for around 195. I still need to buy a bottle for it though so I can lay some nice beads. I get a lot of perocity(sp?) since I'm not running gas to it right now. (I'm not making anything, I was just playing with it to make sure I setup the mig portion correctly.)

If you want the nicest welds, run flux core wire with an argon mix gas. Thats how I run, virtually no splatter and beautiful solid welds. If you dont weld much buy your wire in 3 lb spools, even the most skilled welder cant make dirty corroded wire weld nicely.

It does look good though!

This is the only kind of welding I have done for the past 3 years or so. Havent ever do e mug or anything else so as long as I use different rods with smaw and I do it right I'll be good

Use like a 7018 or even 7024. They will run the smoothest and not blow holes in your steel
