just wondering if a xj trailer hitch is the same as a grand Cherokee hitch? Sorry if in wrong area just trying to get a quick answer! Thanks

well grand cherokee covers alot of years, Whitch grand cherokee you talking about.. ZJ, WJ, I'll take a wild guess your not talking about the WK or WK2.

Either way from what I understand the mounting points are different so It will not work no matter what grand cherokee your looking at getting a hitch off of.. But Wait for other replies as Im not 100% sure..

Well the gas tank skid plates bolt up with a couple of holes being drilled so I'd assume the hitch would too. The only thing I've noticed looking at them is the GC hitch would hang really low on an xj.

I've gotten 3 hitches for XJ's from the junkyard and never paid more than $20 for any of em, why not get the right part?

When you install them remember to use nutstrips so that you have the strongest installation you can.
