Default High Lift Jack

Well the one I got has kind of some surface rust on it....so I was wondering what everyone does to prevent that...my plan is to paint it black and then put a couple of clear coats on it. Anyone have any other idea's?

I repainted mine a few times but when I use it it takes the paint back off so I gave up.

I powdercoated my last one. Current Hi Lift hasn't got bad enough to have to do anything yet.

I haven't found a way to do that yet because it takes up a lot of room that's why it's on the outside for now.

The powdercoat was holding up pretty good, while the jack lasted. If I ever do anything with my current Hi Lift, I'll probably powdercoat it too
