Default Here she is! :) Couple questions..

Hey guys,

Finally got me a Jeep! WOOT! I've had a smile from ear to ear all day! Haha..

Anyway, its a 95' Cherokee Sport with 126,xxx miles on it. She's pretty rough around the edges, but she'll do! Mechanically, seems to be in good shape. I'm going to drop engine/tranny/coolant fluids thsi weekend, hopefully.. just to be safe so I know whats in there. Cosmetically, she's a bit ugly. Front and rear bumpers need to be changed. The body needs a bit of work in the front. A bit of rust on the roof. But honestly, I kinda like her this way. My Harley is a bit of a rat bike, so it don't look pretty either. Haha.

But yeah, as for my questions.

There's a bit of an oil leak, and I suspect it to be the valve cover gasket. No big deal to change, right? How much will the gasket cost me and where should I order it from?

A/C doesn't work, at all. Doesn't even turn on. What would it be? Compressor, evaporator, or what?

As far as the rust on the roof.. there are two area's of rust with a 1 to 1 1/2" hole in each of the two spots. I would like to do just a quick patch job for now so water doesn't leak in. What should I use, just some bondo?

Also, does anyone have a service manual for sale? Where would I even be able to get one? I don't have any owners/service manual, unfortunately.

Front and rear bumpers need to be changed. I think I may try hitting up a junk yard to find them, or should I just go after market? If after market, any suggestions? I love a mean looking Cherokee, so keep that in mind!

But here's a quick picture of the ol' gal! She ain't purty, but I love her none the less. Now, I just gotta think of a name that will suit her.

Congrats on your find. If you use Bondo, get the Bondo Glass it's better. For AC, check the relays and fuses first. Valve cover gaskets I use Fel-Pro available at Autozone or Advanced Auto for 15-20 bucks. Good luck and Welcome to the forum!
