Ok so as most of you probably know, the back emblem on a lot of cherokees says something along the lines of 4.0 litre high output. That's what mine has. A buddy of mine started argueing with me over the spelling and he's driving me nuts. Is it just that when refering to engine size the "e" comes at the end?

"Litre" is the British/Australian/International English spelling
Since AMC was partnered with Renault at the time, the use of International English makes sense.
Both spellings are correct - it simply depends on where you are and to whom you are speaking (I favour the British/Australian spellings, as you may have noted from my posts to date...)
