How many miles are on your rig? I swaped injectors on mine 2 yrs ago and see traces of a cracked injector body again. The set I put in were sonic cleaned. I will get a set of neon injectors as they have multiple fuel delivery holes vs one like our Jeeps have. More holes better atomization smoother running engine alittle more response. I have just shy of 200K so its time to put some pep in her step.

I just rolled over 136,500 the other day. I've done a lot of work to it since I bought is cause the previous owner (my brother in law) didn't maintain it.

My wife bought my jeep brand new in 2000 . She did well except the suspension it still had the stock shocks on it. I lifted it last year at christmas. I just swaped an 8.8 rear axle from an explorer into it. I now need to regear the front axle to match the rear as it has 4.10 gears. I pulled a headliner and sound bar from a JY here so headliner is going to be replaced soon as its toast and I wanted the speaker bar set up so I can leave my spare in the stock location ,I will put a 33x10.50 in the stock location.

Sounds awesome man! I put a 3" lift on in March since the stock suspension was shot, got the headliner replaced, and got new rims. Other than that, it's been all maintenance for me. I replaced a bunch of stuff and done most fluids.

Maybe because your title is crap? Not everybody who reads your thread is a psychic expert with answers to your problem you know. 125 people probably clicked on your thread just to find out what you were going on about.

Okay since you've provided no troubleshooting details, when was your last tune up and what did you replace? Anything and everything can cause your symptoms.

Salad Tosser is on point here

The thing that instantly comes to mind any time I see a thread regarding engine issues with a 2000-2001 model is the 0331 head issue (search). Which prompts me to ask the condition of your cooling system. You said yourself it wasn't maintained properly...that could be your issue right there. A buddy of mine has a 2000 that does the same thing from time to time although not as bad. I told him he should get a new cylinder head..."I'll just drive 'er till she blows"

Well the engine just threw two codes today. It's a bad O2 sensor, bank 1 sensor 1. The other code is bank 1 too rich. As for everyone else, I apologize about not giving enough information. Tune up (spark plugs and air filter), radiator flush, and new transmission filter and fluid were all done about 1 year ago. I do oil changes every 3,000 miles. I have also replaced the battery, starter, a/c evap, and all the vacuum hoses. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but that's all I can think of for now.

If the wiring and fuses look okay go ahead and replace the O2 sensor with an NTK unit. They're wear items anyway.

As for your ignition components make sure to inspect them. Running rich or lean for a long time has an effect on the spark plugs. What did you install? Champion RC12ECC or NGK ZFR5N (preferred as they last a bit longer, TSB was released superceding the Champions)

Yea, I'm going to replace the sensor for sure. I installed NGK spark plugs. The too rich code happened once before a few weeks ago, I reset it and it didn't come back until today. Should I pull my plugs and check them, or just wait until after the O2 sensor is replaced?

and check your cat. symptoms of a clogged cat are similar. this may also throw a code for your O2 sensor.

Turned out to be the TPS. I replaced it with a new Mopar sensor and it's running just fine.
