I am about to buy a 1986 jeep comanche and i am about to buy a 1996 jeep cherokee but only for the suspension. Will the 9 inch lift kit from the cherokee fit on the comanche and vise versa? Please help?

 

The only thing I can think of is that you won't net as much lift in the back because a Comanche is set up for SUA, whereas a Cherokee SOA. I could be wrong though. And, 9 inches, why so high?

 

It may depend on if it is a long bed or a short bed MJ but I am pretty sure the leaf spring length is different. I am pretty sure the MJ is a longer leaf.

 

It'll be different in the back, Cherokee's have their leaf springs over the axle, whereas the axle is above the leaf spring on the Comanche.

 

Rear springs won't work, MJs are a good bit longer. Front is basically the same.

 

well change of plans the only reason i would put the 9 inch kit is because the other cherokee already had the lift. and yes it is a long bed but i am not getting the cheroke as a donor vhicle i will just buy a lift for it. but thanks for all the help
