I know this is going to sound stupid because most of you probably just tear it off... However I have that plastic trim on my door as the 98's came with. It's starting to peel off and is bent at the front from it catching on the fender from opening my door.

Anyways, as a part of "restoring" the stock look of the XJ (because I like it)... I'm either looking for replacement door trim, or a way to fix this bending/peeling. I have several XJ's at the JY with trim intact, but it's hard to tear off without damaging it. Couldn't find them online anywhere... Nor would I know how to re-attach them. That double sided tape is a pain to get off as it's very adhesive.

Any help on this?

 

I just spent 12 hours on the arduous task of removing my side moulding, then cleaning with adhesive remover and budding the area. The double sided tape looked just like the stuff you get at the craft stores, not sure if it's special order. We also painted the front and rear bumpers with truck bed liner with some sanding and primer before hand and they look great. See my thread.
