K so I figured out all the electrical and cut the bottom part off the hinges off but no matter how hard I fight with the hammer the bottom just won't pop off! What should I do

I just did mine last night. I used a big a$$ flat head and a 2lb sledge hammer. The pin came off w one of the bottom tabs that were cut so I was lucky on that. Just beat the heck out of it

Use a small pry bar or chisel and drive it between the bottom and the part on the frame. Don't be scared to whack it hard a couple times. It won't hurt it any.

That's what I did. Took all the doors off and did the hinges then bolted them to the door and slid them back on. U will need to cut the pin to. Flush w the one on the jam. I had to wire wheel the pins to make them slide easier in and out. It's easy but slow. I did a thread a few days ago called xj doors. There is a link on there to look at. Good luck man. Ull love it.

Here is the site I used when I did my door mod, this may help someone....

I cut the lower pin on my doors slightly shorter, this helps to align the door when you are putting it back on. This way you are not tring to put both pins in a hole at the same time, you can get the top one started and then line up the bottom one. I have a two door and i'll bet the doors weigh every bit of 60 lbs, esp if your tring to get two pins to fall into a set of holes at the same time.

You need to cut a better slit in the lippy thingy that is below the piece you just cut. If you do it right it will just fold. And for everyone else cutting is a lot easier if you take out the torx bolt at least at the bottom of the hinge and maybe even the middle one. Then you still got 4/6 attatched so no reallingning needed.
K got the drivers side off got and still lines up and all that, now the passenger side is a different story... I took off the torx bits and got the door off. Then I cut off the bottom part and cut the bottom of the pin. Then I tryed pullin it off and the pin broke and is stuck in the top.. what to do now? Pics in about an hour and a half

on the passenger side the hinges are upside down. which means the pin is going to pull through the whole thing. you will then need to cut it off and weld it back into the top half of hinge. its a total ***** but it will come loose sooner or later

I'm about to just take off the torx and go from there
