It took me one evening to do a back door to see what I had to do then 3 hrs for the other three the next night. Mine had roll pins in the hinges. So all mine but one stayed in the top half. Thank god. I was lucky.

Read this....I found it here http://heavymetalxj.wordpress.com/2007/08/03/6/
The catch with the passenger side is, though not in all cases, the hinges were flipped at the factory, meaning, the pin in the hinge is upside down, so when you hammer off the hinge bottom like before, the pin will come with it. This is where the vice and socket come into play. The pin on mine was pressed in and splined, making it impossible to pull out by hand, so I took it inside to the vice. We put the small socket over one end, and lined it up in the vice so that the vice would press the pin out into the socket. This worked without a problem. Once its out of the hinge bottom piece, take the pin back to your door hinge on the door and hammer it in the right way. Voila, your doors are removable just like a Wrangler. Lift off, drop in. The process is the same for all 4
Cutting and rewelding the hinge IMO sounds like your asking for trouble.
