Hella 700FF Opinions and Wiring/Switch Setup
Hi all just a few quick questions. Im looking at picking up 4 Hella 700ff just wondering about peoples opinions on them and also included a picture of my switch setup.
I want to have the top red switch as a masterswitch
next down is for my hella bumper lights
third and fourth are going to be for the roof lights
my question is would i need a relay for the masterswitch to allow power to the other 3 relays or is there a simpler way to wire it up?

Just run a direct Wire to your master switch. Put a fuse on the wire obviously...
then link all the relay's. I will draw a diagram for ya to show what I mean

If u want my opinion dont buy hella's there over rated and u can get much better lights for far cheaper, I had a pair of 700ff's and sold them. I bought 3 pairs of pilot 6" round navigator lights for the same price of getting 1 set of hellas

I personally like the hella's but here is what I was talking about.
the "lead" is your source, I.E. head lights, parking lights, directly off the battery. It doesnt need to be much. it only takes a few milli amps to activate the relays. That is why the relays are directly wired to the battery too.
Just remember to use FUSES!!!

and as long as i wire it up with the wiring harness supplied in the kit i don't need to add any extra fuses anywhere other than the one previously mentioned?

No. and you dont need a fuse from the master switch to the lead.
I would tap into your parking lights if those are all light switches. that way you atleast have to have your parking lights on to turn anything else on. and if you are running your lead from the battery(for constant power), like 5 amps is more than enough.
