Default Heater control question

When I select where I want the heat to go ie: floor, def, etc. it is only blowing through the defroster. Now is that wire controlled? And how do I get that panel off to check it out?

Found the problem. Now just have to figure out where it goes inside and replace it.

Yeah, I was gonna say just to splice it with some regular vacuum hose. Nothing like a nice easy fix, especially on a jeep.
