Finally got my Hanson tire carrier bumper delivered and got a bit of time to install it. Overall I am very pleased with it. I had the factory gas tank skid plate which didn't play well with the Hanson mounting system, so I had to trim a bit to get it to fit, but nothing major.

Now I gotta relocate the license plate and wire up a third brake light, but other than that, good to go.

here are a few crappy pics that I took since I drove it into the office today.

Looks like your coming along well and I like the bumper looks somewhat like mine, did yours come powder coated also? Can't tell does yours have any other mounts on it, I have the Hi-Lift and antenna built into mine.

I have had mine on for 4 yrs. now and never got around to relocating the license plate, the brake light is high enough to clear the tire. Never been stopped for it yet but don't drive it a lot in Springfield but often on "James River Raceway".

Yes, I have oogled yours on more than one occasion! Really dig the looks.

Mine doesn't have the hi-lift built in, but I have that mounted inside, so didn't look for that.

I have to clean mine up a bit. I usually just let the rain to the work for me, but one of these days I am going to scrub it a bit deeper.

They make a license plate frame with a light/brake light that mounts to the lugs of the spare tire. Can't remember now who sells it.

I found a couple of those when I was searching for what I wanted to do with mine. I didnt like that fact I would have to run a wire along the tire swing out arm and have to mess with it in order to take my spare off. Let me go though my notes and see if I can find the ones I found.

Wouldn't have to just use a trailer plug and connect to the light and brake wires.

Fred a lot of companies make them the cheapest i know is http://www.morris4x4center.com/jks-s...FYMvgQodbNgLcg and http://www.quadratec.com/products/12...FU08gQodusMA6g And Fred is right you can use any weather tight connector for the wire so you can remove it.Or you could go trailer hitch license plate holder a few make those also.

I was very lucky to find the company where I bought mine as all they made were XJ bumpers (2 lines) and rocker skids, small guy operation using a big shop he worked at equipment. I just hated that I did not buy one of his Crawler series of front winch bumpers before he stopped making them they were nice and very reasonable.

That rear bumper of mine came with the add-on's, powder coated, shipped with excellent packaging not a scratch on it for $600 to my shop door. It took me 10 min. to un-package it from all the layers of cardboard shipping tape bubble wrap. It came included with all new hardware and a new nut strip of excellent quality he had made also.

Before he went out of business I bought a set of 3/8" rocker skids he sold me for $150 shipped powder coated as well. Its a shame more people didn't support him as the quality of his work/materials/design/welding were excellent and simple.
