I have been looking for a good gun rack for a while now. I found a truck gun rack at Wal-mart for nine bucks! It's the one that slides up in the back glass. Well of course we can't do that in our jeeps because theyd just fall out when you open the hatch. So, I put it in the side. You can't use the back driver door now but if its just you and a buddy hunting it doesn't matter anyway. If you ever get 4 people just tell them to slide down the seat! I have 2 pictures if you're interested in seeing it. Tell me what you think!

that looks good...I'm going to have to go pick up a couple of them only me and my buddy hunt so no need to open the back doors!...now I need a good roof rack to hold all the deer!

Hey!
Not sure if you guys have a Princess Auto where you are but i have a buddy that works at one up here in Alberta and they carry a pretty decent hitch mount rack that can carry up to 500lbs and they also have a roof rack too.
I'm going to be getting one of the roof ones for my rig real quick!

You know if you wanted to put in on the hatch window all you would need is some velcro strips or rubber and make sure youre gun stays snug in those little hooks and it wouldn't fall out. so you can still use your door.

x2
Although I must say that is very clever and sure beats my current way of just laying them on the back seat in a towel.

thanks guys. yea i love that rifle. one of the straightest shooting guns ive ever owned. but that rack was simple, it took a little time trying to figure out the positioning and it helps if you take the rear seatbelt out since no one is sitting there anyway, it just gets in the way!
