Default Grand Cherokee Tuner

I have a 91 XJ that I'm getting rid of for comfort so I'm stepping into a 02 WJ with 4x4 and the I6. I never really did any motor mods on the XJ so I'm unsure of what works. I'm not trying to lift it right away, did that with the XJ and wish I had started slow.

I've been looking online at some tuners, and this one from superchips seems good, any opinions?

A 3" header back exhaust is an idea
As well as a TB spacer and a bigger air intake.

Any ideas and opinions would be great!

Just realized the tuner in the link I posted isn't the dash mounted kind, which is what I am looking for. So are my options really limited to their TrailDash? Anybody?!

Don't know about any of the GC products, but a 4.0 is a 4.0 is a 4.0: Tuners for the 4.0 are absolutely worthless junk.

Opening up the intake and a 2.5" exhaust are pretty standard performance mods.

Yeah a tuner on a 4.0 is not really worth the money.Start with a full tune up then intake and exhaust it should pick up some power from that.

Thanks guys! As far as exhaust goes I'm leaning more towards 3" over 2.5"? Any thoughts? And with intakes any experience with a good brand?

2.5 is the biggest i would use 3 inch would kill back pressure and your low end torque with it.
