go to your local automotive paint store. they'll recommend you the stuff you need. I dont know if you have a local Randy's paint and supplies but they really know their stuff.
but anything out of a can will probably scratch fairly easy. I used 4 coats of trim black on my bumper and it scratched when I dragged the portable compressor over it. but that wouldve scratched any paint. if you dont ever touch it, it will be fine haha

X2. I never had a problem with it chipping or scratching on my Tj or Yj bumpers. I plan on using it on my Xj bumper also

The hard thing about those spray cans is that paint fades over time and that doesnt so you could potentially be spraying a "different" color on your Jeep

Akzo makes a great high gloss two part Epoxy paint. It's used on firetrucks, Airport Crash, Fire, and Rescue trucks. It wears like iron, and a b***h to DA off, If an item is sprayed the wrong color! I found out the hard way. It has to be sand blasted off.

It really just depends on the condition of your paint. Mine matched great. It seems like it depends on the color too.

Agreed, to get a perfect match you have to blend onto the adjacent panels, but on rigs that get scratched it doesnt make any difference if the paint doesnt match

The only problem with Epoxy anything is that it has no UV inhibitors and will chalk and degrade unless it lives most of its life out of the sun. The best trail paint that is easily touched up is a single stage Urethane enamel... and its cheap
