How did you prep that?? The problem with chromed parts, even plastic, is that it is very difficult to get paint to adhere to it. My XJ is a Limited, so I have a ton of that plastic chrome, and I hate it!! I just painted over mine as well, if it chips, I just touch it up.

All I did was clean it with glass cleaner... then I sprayed it..

With this chrome plastic it is inevitable unless u get the chrome off otherwise it will chip eventually...

I know if u lay the chrome in lye for a couple days it will remove all the chrome and then u have bare plastic.. but I don't wanna mess with lye..

If you know for sure that you will be getting metal bumpers later then it wouldn't hurt if you painted them black for now just so you can see what it looks like. who knows u might even like it. =0)

That looks good with the grill blacked out. I got bored and did this for you (keep in mind I used paint program and I do not have photoshop or any skills like that) its not pretty but you kind of get the idea...

What kind of paint did you use? Looks awfully close to the paint i used on mine!. I used Rustoleum flat black. It stuck very well and came out very clean looking. When i done my grill i taped off the grill inserts. And ended up doing my whole front clip, cause it was gold (off a 2000 model), bumpers and all as you see... The dark look i like! Well other then you see the polished M/T wheels lol.. The front bumper in the top pic looks a little more glossy, thats cause i gave it just enough time to dry and i put the bumper on, the paint hadnt cured completely.

I think the black will go good with the dark blue.

Default Black out look

I have a set of Black Out Projector style lights that will mount in place of your OEM lights. Their yours for $25 (the Pair) if you want them, you pay shipping.

These are them.
