Getting a new truck, ideas?

What's up CF,

I'm joining the Navy (signing contract tomorrow) and am thinking that once I start making money I'll get a new truck. I'll be keeping my XJ of course as a weekend warrior/just for funsies vehicle.
I was thinking a 2014 Ram 2500 Diesel. What is CF's input on this matter?

I'm not to fond of the newer, post '08 diesels across the board.. However if you're ready for an $800 payment then go for it !!!

I don't really know much about the newer Dodges, the newest that I have ever owned is a 1976 Dodge Power Wagon. I like the older ones. They're built better and MUCH easier to work on, but I'm still a Mopar guy. Even my Jeep is a Dodge (Chrysler).

I'm scared of Chrysler anything. IMHO the only decent part about a Dodge Ram is the driveline.

New trucks are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. What do you want to do with yours? Make noise, tow, mall crawl, 4-door cab? Spend your life screwing around with bull**** flakey SCR? (Biased? Who me? Lol)
