Gear question
Ok i am putting 4.56 in my jeep. i thought i had a dana 35. but i have a 8.25 in the rear. I am having trouble finding the 4.56 gears for the rear now i counted the spline it has 29 and the places i call saying that is not a 8.25. because they only make 4.56 for a 27?Does it matter for the spline? 27 or 29?

They make 27 and 29 spline chrys 8.25's which come on some newer cherokees. You got the good one which is almost as strong as the d44 rear. The 8.25 ring and pinions will work for both types of axles though.

Yes....good to go...I've done this, but the 8.25s are really Hairy to set up correctly. Do your research and have someone with you who knows what their doing if you don't....otherwise, happy wrenching!
Oh yeah...you need a new carrier for the front to run 456s...I think the cut off is 410s or 373s...not positive on that.
