Default Gas tanks
I'm pretty sure I know the answer already but I'm asking to make sure. Are all year xj gas tanks interchangeable? May need to replace one on the 96 but all I'm seeing near me are post 97.

No, pre 97 and post 97 are COMPLETELY different

Yup 97 and up are larger and shaped a bit different as well as plastic.
